The importance of the artist's role as "placemaker" has grown significantly in recent years. With increases in funding and visibility for artists working in this sphere, placemaking has established itself firmly in the world of visual art.

Last month we explored the visual artist's role in the "placemaking movement." Join us on April 24 for the second part of this conversation. Our panelists will discuss current opportunities and funding for those looking to work as creative "placemakers.

Panelists include Prema Gupta from the University City District's The Porch; Kevin Musselman from the People's Emergency Center's Time Bank; Sarah Sturtevant from LISD (Local Initiatives Support Corporation); and Jeffrey Tubbs from JDT International Inc.

Pre-registration is required; individuals who have not pre-registered are not guaranteed a seat.
