Jose Garces and Michael Solomonov are among the more recognizable names responsible for Philly's latest surge among foodies, and you can check out their fight for supremacy this weekend on the Food Network's Iron Chef America program.

Solomonov, of Zahav, Xochitl and Percy Street Barbecue, will go head-to-head in Kitchen Stadium with Garces, who earned Iron Chef status in 2009 by dominating Season 2 of The Next Iron Chef, using a secret ingredient to prepare a variety of dishes--last episode featured gruyere.

Episode airs at 10 p.m. on Sunday, a few hours later on Monday at 1 a.m., and again on Feb. 3 at 8 p.m. Percy Street (600 S. 9th St., Philadelphia) will play host to a viewing party to see if their boy reigns supreme in his series debut. Garces, meanwhile, brings a polished 4-2 record to the table.
