Celebrate East Kensington's artists, musicians and restaurants! The festival attracts over 10,000 attendees and plays host to more than 200 local art and food vendors. Now in its tenth year, the Trenton Avenue Arts Festival is organized by volunteers from the East Kensington Neighbors Association. The event showcases Trenton Avenue, a wide cobblestone street that has been part of Kensington's rich creative history for over a hundred years. Be sure to check out the 9th Annual Kensington Kinetic Sculpture Derby, a design competition and parade.

The Dude's Bar Crawl
Saturday, May 16
Noon - 6 p.m.
Multiple Locations, starting on East Passyunk Ave.

If you have ever wanted to dress as The Dude (of Big Lebowski fame), grab your bathrobe and head out to meet some other like-minded Dudes. Exchange $10 for sunglasses that get you food and drink specials at participating bars including Stogie Joe's Tavern, Lucky 13 Pub, Birra, P.O.P.E., Devil's Den, Ray's Happy Birthday Bar and Garage. Feel free to travel with the gang or to stay back, as the specials last for the duration of the bar crawl. All proceeds go directly to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to fight blood cancers.

To help you get through the week and excited about the weekend's PFCU Kensington Kinetic Sculpture Derby and Arts Festival, join other party goers at La Colombe Torrefaction! At this year's Ball, NKCDC will recognize Michael DiBerardinis, Deputy Mayor for Environmental and Community Resources, and Joan Reilly, Chief Operating Officer at Mural Arts. To help with the celebrations, light fare and libations will be provided, and party goers will have the opportunity to tour La Colombe Torrefaction's rum distillery, preview derby sculptures, snap some fun pics in the photo booth, and win raffle prizes from local businesses.
