Before they head off to their new retail space (6622 Germantown Ave.), Mt. Airy Art Garage is holding one last exhibit. As a way to celebrate all of the MAAG member artists that have helped the organization grow to what it is today, the current gallery space is going to be filled with artwork. 

The exhibit will run from July 1 through August 21; it will feature photography, painting, watercolor, sculptures and more!

Fishtown Indepen-Dance Block Party

Head on over to The Fillmore for some block party fun on this Independence Day weekend! The Fishtown Indepen-Dance Block Party will have something for everyone in the family. Check out The Shakedown, So Far Gone, IllVibe, Stuntloco and DJ Deejay
Be sure to come hungry and visit the grill or food trucks for something tasty. There will be a bouncy house for the little ones, adult beverages for the grownups, and dancing for all. This event is rain or shine.

Get Out the Vote Exhibit

AIGA Philadelphia, the professional association for design, is hosting "Get Out the Vote" throughout the month of July (and the DNC). Check out the exhibit at two locations: the Gallery at City Hall and the Painted Bride in Old City. 

This unique exhibition is a civic engagement initiative created to motivate Americans to register and vote in the upcoming general election. Designers from across the country came together for the sake of democracy and created nonpartisan posters. 

Be sure to check out the opening reception on Thursday, July 7 (it's free, but RSVP is requested).
