About 800 graduates from 2007-2011, representing dozens of colleges and universities from Greater Philadelphia and beyond, attended the
2011 Opportunity Fair at
Temple University on May 24. The event is presented by
Campus Philly and was held at Temple's Howard Gittis Student Center.
Campus Philly research indicates 75 percent of college graduates in Greater Philadelphia want to stay in the area after graduation, and 61 percent of them to do. The Opportunity Fair, Campus Philly President Deb Diamond says, is a way to help bridge that gap. Mayor Michael Nutter was also on hand to discuss how the Opportunity Fair supported the city's efforts to increase the number of college graduates in the region.
