Chestnut Hill's Harry Potter Festival
Friday, October 18 - Saturday, October 19

Calling all the muggles! Harry Potter has returned to Chestnut Hill, and it's going to be a magical weekend.

For those who always wanted to attend Hogwarts and have lessons in magic, there is an academic conference starting Friday at 3 p.m. at Chestnut Hill College.

Then take a stroll through Diagon Alley on your way to the Quidditch Pep Rally at 5:30 p.m. For those who have passed their O.W.L.s and N.E.W.T.s and are over the magical age of 21, a pub crawl is to follow.

Saturday's festivities starts at 11 a.m. with the annual Philadelphia Brotherly Love Quidditch Cup Tournament. Cheer on your favorite teams, then learn spells in Defense Against the Dark Arts class, search for Horcruxes in Dumbledore's Power Maze at Woodmere Art Museum and be sorted by the Sorting Hat.

Enjoy some Harry Potter-themed treats, drinks and a thestral from Northwestern Stables. Don't worry about bringing your broom to get around, just hop on the complementary Knight Bus.
