The Philadelphia Mural Arts program celebrates the completion of How Philly Moves, a new 85,000 square foot gateway public art installation at the Philadelphia International Airport by the incredibly talented artist/photographer JJ Tizou and lead muralist Jon Laidacker. Bloktoberfest
Saturday, Oct. 15, Noon-8 p.m.
South Street, Philadelphia (between Broad and 17th)

Only beer, food, and music could shut down three blocks of South Street between Broad and 17th Street. Two express beer zones will help keep the beer flowing, and food will be provided by Jamaican Jerk Hut, Indian Restaurant, Sweet Freedom Bakery, Quick Fixx and an array of food trucks. Jamaican Jerk Hut's outdoor lot will serve as the main music stage, and indie rockers The Walkmen head a large lineup of performers. There's also a family zone with kids-friendly activities.

This upscale vintage outdoor market features original art, anituqes, vintage jewelry and clothing, artisan crafts and handmade items. Rock Creek will provide music, and ample refreshments are available for purchase.
