Art Connection Philadelphia Celebration

Join Art Reach for the official open-bar, all-you-can-eat Art Connection Philadelphia Celebration at the Fleischer Art Memorial in Bella Vista. The Art Connection program places original local artwork -- generously donated by artists via InLiquid) -- in underserved local schools and human service agencies throughout the region. 

All funds from the event directly benefit Art Connection. At each giving level attendees receive great prizes; for example, $100 earns you two tickets to Friday Night at the Barnes. Just $25 gets you in the door on April 18 with access to complimentary food, beverages (Yards Brewing is a sponsor), live music, local art and networking.

Celebrate the launch of the 2013 Philadelphia Science Festival with live science shows and demonstrations all tailored to adults. Check out NextFab Studio's laser cutters and 3-D printers, breathe smoke like a dragon and make cocktails out of specialty paper. Be there to tap Yards Brewing's official 2013 Science Festival beer, Pythagorean Beerum, a specially brewed Belgian Tripel. Once you’ve recouped from the After Dark kick-off party, spend Saturday with the kids at the Science Carnival on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, a family-friendly event featuring non-stop experiments, interactive activities, games and a packed line-up of live entertainment.

Lynne Honickman Digital Arts Festival

On Wednesday, head out to the second annual Lynne Honickman Digital Arts Festival at Project HOME’s Honickman Learning Center and Comcast Technology Labs. See what students in film, music, and photography classes have been working on this year. Teen learners will be on-hand to answer questions and discuss the creative process.

The H.Y.P.E. (Helping Youth Pursue Excellence) Program is a college preparatory program that seeks to prepare teens and families in underserved areas to achieve college success. Catered by teen culinary students, the festival will showcase digital art and feature live musical performances at 4:30 p.m. and again at 6:30 p.m.
