Philadelphia DoGooders Awards Ceremony

Over the last several months, close to 100 local non-profit organizations submitted short videos (five minutes or less) to the Philly DoGooder Awards. Some organizations were paired with local filmmakers through a Video Hackathon to create a piece for submission. 

The videos offer a platform for these organizations to tell their story and detail their impact on the community. The public voted online and winners will be revealed this Thursday at the Philadelphia DoGooders Awards Ceremony. Winners have a chance to win up to $250,000 in resources. 

30th Street Craft Market

University City District and VIX Emporium have been working hard to bring together 30 area artists and craftspeople selling glassware, jewelry, ceramics, prints, cards and more. Participating vendors include The Lettered Set, Art Star, J4 Woodworks, and Nice Things Handmade (check out the full list here). 

Look forward to future craft markets outside at The Porch. But to keep participants all cozy and warm, this Saturday’s event will be indoors in the North Waiting Room. 

East Passyunk Restaurant Week

Over 25 participating restaurants on East Passyunk Avenue.

From BYOs and fine dining havens to taquerias and pizzerias, there’s no shortage of delicious dining options on East Passyunk Avenue. Make a reservation for lunch or dinner and enjoy the first ever East Passyunk Restaurant Week. Prix fixe meals are being offered by 25-plus restaurants at affordable price points ($15, $25 and $35).
