Building Philadelphia: Romantic Philadelphia's Eclecticism of Style
Philadelphia Center for Architecture, 1218 Arch Street
Tuesday, March 25
6 p.m.
$20; $15 members; $10 students (lecture series packages available)

Richard Webster, PhD, and Professor Emeritus at West Chester University explores the architectural styles of Philadelphia that were popular after the "colonial" era, but before the Victorian era. He will discuss the eclectic mix of styles, often intermixed in one building, that make up this fascinating period of architectural history.

This is the third talk in the annual 10-part "Building Philadelphia: Architecture, History, & Politics" lecture series, which takes place on 10 consecutive Tuesday evenings, March 11 through May 20. Those who attend at least eight of the lectures are invited to continue training and become certified as volunteer tour guides for the Philadelphia Center for Architecture and/or the Preservation Alliance of Greater Philadelphia.
