May the Fourth be with you! Celebrate Star Wars Day at Fleisher Art Memorial's Comic Jam, which will feature the launch of Fleisher's comic anthology. This event is for the whole family -- there will be food, a guest DJ, and a chance to make your own mini-comics. Pat Aulisio, artist and Fleisher faculty member, will be on hand to talk all things comics. The best part: Costumes are encouraged!

HOME/S.9th Street, a unique dance performance by Kun-Yang Lin/Dancers (KYL/D), explores the idea of "American-ness" and what "home" means. Referencing the stories of S. 9th Street community members, the piece looks at the issues of justice, healing, and building a community through the arts. HOME/S. 9th Street features original music from composer Cory Neale. Enjoy one of the two showings outside in the City Hall Courtyard.

13th Annual Spring Art Star Craft Bazaar

Juried and organized by Art Star, Philly's leading purveyor of handmade goods, the Craft Bazaar features over 125 art and craft vendors. Regional and national vendors will have all sorts of goods for sale including pottery, jewelry, home goods, stationary and more. 

If you want to try your hand at some of the crafts, check out the "Make + Take" booths where you can try screen printing, stamp carving, creating a terrarium and more! Live music starts at noon each day with a new band every hour. Food truck favorites and Great Plaza food/drink vendors will be on hand in case you find yourself in need of a tasty snack or sip. Be sure to get there early: The first 150 attendees each day will receive a free tote bag that includes $5 Art Star Bucks and some small goodies.
