EDITOR'S PICK: Be Thankful for DIversity, Experience the Fourth Wall

It's Philadelphia at its finest, if you can find it. Fourth Wall Arts Salon is a roving performing and fine arts event that pops up at a new venue the last week of every month. In ninety fast paced minutes, artists from diverse disciplines play to appreciative audiences. At a sample Fourth Wall, spoken word follows opera, which leads to flamenco. The aim of Fourth Wall is to gather, enliven and uplift artists and communities.

This weekend, put down that turkey leg and catch Fourth Wall in Fairmount at the Jeanne Ruddy Performing Arts Garage, 1515 Brandywine Street, starting at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27. Poet and host Greg Corbin joins a lineup that includes singer/songwriter Chana Rothman, spoken word artist Black Ice, and a performance art piece called Riffing on the President's House. Adorning the walls for this one night event are collages from Philadelphia artist Theordore A. Harris. If you are in town this weekend, Fourth Wall is a can't miss event.
