PHILLY 3 FOR ALL: Outdoor Tango, Art of Sharing, Opera 4-D

The Fairmount Park Art Association, Urban Tango and Oscuro Quintet are teaming up on this event, which includes an intro lesson, open dancing and a competition for non-professional dancers judged by professional dancers and teachers from the local Argentine tango community, like Leslie Mitchell, Damian Lobato, Kristina McFadden and Marc Hussner. There's a cash prize of $250 for the best dancer, as well as other prizes. Rain date is April 12.

Painted Bride (230 Vine St., Philadelphia)

Initiated by Philadelphia artist Pepon Osorio in collaboration with 10 other artists, this exhibition-led inquiry into the contemporary practice of communal exchange investigates the notions of the physical, emotional and spiritual act of sharing as an art practice. The multi-layer installation will transform the Painted Bride's Independence Foundation Gallery for the Visual Arts. Exhibit runs through June 3 with First Friday receptions on May 4 and June 1.
