It's the best of local food and drink, like Earth Bread and Brewery. It's the best of Philly's food trucks, like Vendy Award winners Gigi & Big R Caribbean and Sweetbox Cupcakes. The Food Trust brings its third installment of this evening event to the Belgian blocks of Mt. Airy. There's entertainment, too -- the New Orleans-style UCC Royal Brass Band, Universal African Dance & Drum Ensembles and internationally acclaimed jazz percussionist Doc Gibbs and his band.

Ice cream, focaccia, espresso, samosas, spring rolls, and baked goods -- all $1 apiece every first Thursday of the month on Baltimore Ave. from 42nd to 50th St. in University City. There's also food trucks, sidewalk vendors, live music and street performances. Next one is Sept. 1. The new West Philly Mix Tape will be free to download at the University City District table at 48th and Baltimore.
