Within Greater Philadelphia's considerable foodie community is a sub-genre known as Wild Foodies who are spreading the seed of wild edibles, both plants and small critters, that are found just outside our doors.

While Roy Halladay was responsible for seventh heaven on one end of Broad Street, Switch Philadelphia provided seven minutes in techie heaven for some of the region's most promising startups on the other. The pitches there were almost as amazing.

Increased funding, determined advocacy and strategic partnerships are taking the training wheels off the region's bicycle scene and making Greater Philadelphia more easily connected, particularly along the Delaware River.
